Every blade we make leaves here with a number.
Six hundred workshops sit within a few kilometres of our bench, and almost nothing they export carries a maker's name. The Shikari Club is the other way round: small numbered runs, the ustad's mark on the tang, a register that records who made your knife and who owns it — and an open door if you want to come and watch it happen.
Steel, heat, hands.
Small runs. Named makers. Permanent serials.
Access, not discount
A discount card attracts people shopping on price. Collectors pay for the opposite: first refusal, a number that is only theirs, and a way in. Tier colours follow the tempering spectrum — straw, bronze, violet, quench blue — the shades a blade passes through as it is drawn back over heat.

Forge day
Seki in Japan and Solingen in Germany turned a cluster of workshops into places people travel to — a festival, a museum, factory tours by reservation. Wazirabad has the same craft and none of the packaging. This is where we start: a day at the bench with an ustad, and the knife you made goes home with you.
Workshop tour
Forge, grinding line, heat treatment and the polishing hall. Free for members.
Half day at the bench
Grind, fit and finish a blade from a prepared blank. It goes home with you.
Forge your own knife
Billet to edge alongside an ustad, with your name stamped on the tang.
Damascus billet day
Weld and draw your own pattern billet, then have it finished and posted on.
Members choose what we make
Two designs go into production each season and members vote on which. The winning run is funded by pre-orders, so nothing is tooled up on a guess.

One letter a month
Run dates before they are public, a photo essay from the bench, and one piece on steel, heat treatment or the history of the cluster. Meta will not carry paid advertising for non-culinary blades, so writing and email are how this brand gets found. No sales blasts.
